Nor’Wester Rotary began as a Club in 1977 as an offshoot from the Port Angeles Rotary Club.

Nor’Wester differed in many ways from the parent club and from most others in the United States. They wanted a club that stressed attendance less, didn’t sing, and didn’t fine. As a morning club, it was important that the club’s program end by 8am so members could get to work. The club has met in various locations, including Peninsula Golf Club, Red Lion, Seasons Café at Olympic Medical Center, and Joshua’s Restaurant. Currently, meetings are held at the Port Angeles Senior Citizens Center which is located at:

Meetings are at 7am most Fridays. Join us and learn more!

Fellowship is a good thing and important too.  But, Nor’Wester is more about action to meet the needs of the community and the world.  For more than 40 years we have been making a difference.  Our primary focus has always been by providing high school students scholarships to help them get a start in college.  Some more visible activities include the murals in downtown Port Angeles the skate park, less obvious was the long running Arts In Action street fair that has evolved in to the annual Jammin’ In the Park Festival on Labor Day Weekend.
